PD opportunity for TEAMS of elementary -or- secondary teachers from ISB!

Greetings Elementary and Secondary Science Teachers!

ISB Education is offering 4 STEM clock hrs Systems are Everywhere workshop - with a focus on systems, crosscutting concepts, and inclusion of ISB scientists and their work around COVID19.  

This workshop is to engage K through 12 students with  systems in their world, during their June science unit.   
Please gather a team and have them register together— then they will have colleagues to implement (e.g. team teach across a grade level) the resources for weaving CCCs into their June science unit/packet/online class. The take-aways are lesson activites - very usable outcomes!

EarthGen: Climate Justice League, Assemble!

EarthGen is excited to share t his cohort-based learning opportunity designed for teachers across Washington State to deepen their Climate Justice learning. Climate Justice League, Assemble! When: Feb 15 2024 9AM - 3PM Where: Good Shepherd Center in Seattle Climate Justice League, Assemble!  is an  in-person offering on  February 15th from 9am-3pm at the Good Shepherd Center in Seattle  and will provide teachers opportunities to critically define climate justice education and improve their understanding of Anti-racist and Anti-colonial science teaching. Educators will be invited to participate in online communities of practice following the workshop. Free STEM Competition for U.S. High Schools

Good Morning, I'm reaching out about the General Aviation Manufacturers Association's (GAMA) annual competition to promote STEM skills in U.S. high school students through aviation curriculum and a virtual fly-off. We opened registration for the 2020 Aviation Design Challenge on August 17, with slots available for the first 150 high school teachers that enter. There are still 100 slots available! The competition is free – we provide a curriculum developed in alignment with national STEM standards along with the world's top software for personal computers through a partnership with Fly to Learn and X-Plane.
