This is a 1-day in-person workshop at the UW Seattle campus designed to work with you on adapting and developing new content for your classroom that focuses on how the climate system works and how we think about what will happen in the future.

In addition to new content and deeper understanding of how we look at the climate system, from physics to social systems, you will receive

  • 6 STEM clock hours
  • $200 stipend
  • Travel costs covered if you live over 50 miles from Seattle
  • Opportunity to interact and work with climate scientists as you develop your ideas

Registration is simple, just send a 2-page cv/resume, statement of interest and travel needs to uwpcc@uw.edu.  We will accept applications until we reach 25 participants.

The day's agenda is outlined here.

Please share this opportunity with others in your buildings and networks. Part of this workshop experience is working with others with different ways of teaching or thinking about climate change.  We would be delighted to see teachers of history, physics, chemistry, earth science, biology, geology, statistics, math....join the conversation at the workshop.
