Science Education Partnership 2021   Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is looking for teachers to join the 2021 Science Education Partnership (SEP). Ellison Education Grants for Washington State Teachers

Grants for Washington State K-12 Public School Teachers!   Applications are now being accepted for the "Ellison Education Grants". Join us for the Summer 2021 Research Experience for Teachers (RET) Program at the Center for Neurotechnology Are you interested in neuroscience, engineering, and neurotechnologies?  Would you like to spend your summer working on an authentic engineering, science, or computational research project while also designing innovative curriculum materials? Join our professional learning community of enthusiastic STEM educators this summer! About the RET Program: The Center for Neurotechnology at the University of Washington sponsors a seven-week summer research program for middle school and high school STEM teachers. Teachers selected for the program participate in ongoing research projects with researchers and have the opportunity to develop new classroom lesson plans based on their research experiences. A stipend of $7,000 is provided for the seven-week program.  Program Dates: The 2021 RET summer program will be held from June 21 - July 30, 2021 with a flexible start base

[ClimeTime, OpenSciEd] FREE Middle School OpenSciEd PD for winter 2021!

Please help spread the word to your middle school colleagues ! Thanks to the ClimeTime Climate Science Initiative, your WA State Science Coordinators are coordinating with teachers in our state to offer FREE remote introductory courses to the OpenSciEd OER instructional materials! OpenSciEd is a FREE suite of instructional materials native to the NGSS era that are research-based and are rigorously piloted. Many of the developers and researchers are part of what I call the "NGSS Braintrust" -- that is, many of the very people who helped develop A Framework for K-12 Science Education and the Next Generation Science Standards.
