ISB Systems Science for HS Teachers @NWESD! Recruiting HS Science Teacher Teams NOW!

What:

As part of our ClimeTime Climate Science work next year, the NWESD is excited to partner with ISB on a program for HS teachers. We are recruiting now even though we don't have the funding in-hand yet.

Who Should Act?

Teachers will sign up as part of a team and will receive 18 hours of training in August on two of ISB's NGSS-aligned instructional units. ISB has been an amazing partner to statewide science education for years and we are lucky to get to work with them!

Benefits to Teachers

  1. Teachers receive stipends and all activities are happening before the school year starts (in August) and then after school hours (the online PLC's).
  2. 18 hours of high quality PD around science pedagogy and learning!
  3. ISB has developed MANY NGSS-aligned units based reflective of Ambitious Science Teaching pedagogy and taking part in this class will prepare teachers to use others from their collection!
