Edison Robots PD at NWESD! Oct 11 2023!

Northwest Educational Service District (NWESD) 189 will be hosting a workshop on Edison Robots on Wednesday, October 11! How can we use robots as a tool for deep STEM learning? Come find out! Edison is a programmable robot designed to be a complete STEM teaching resource for coding and robotics for students 4 to 16 years of age. All are welcome to attend, please feel free to forward this to colleagues who may be interested. Limited seats are available – register today!

Session Overview:

This session will focus on bar code scanning and visual/text block programming and using the Edison robots to support inquiry and the Next Generation Science Standards.  Edison robots work right out of the box, fully pre-built with all sensors ready to use. There’s no software to install or manage, making it easy to use Edison with different device types and platforms, including laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets.

Participants will learn how to connect the programmable robots to their student devices in the workshop.  The registration fee includes STEM clock hours, dinner, a free robot to bring back to their classroom, and access to additional robots through our lending library.
