August 2018 Opportunity for Teachers!

NGSS In Action: Science & Engineering in Your Community

We are excited to offer a workshop series that explores how your schoolyard and community can bring the Next Generation Science Standards alive for students while building the foundations students need to understand everything from local environmental concerns to global climate change. Stipends and STEM clock hours are provided. The full day sessions include free lunch and childcare.

 The first workshop is taking place at the Brightwater Center near Woodinville on August 25th so sign up yourself and/or your team today!

EarthGen: Climate Justice League, Assemble!

EarthGen is excited to share t his cohort-based learning opportunity designed for teachers across Washington State to deepen their Climate Justice learning. Climate Justice League, Assemble! When: Feb 15 2024 9AM - 3PM Where: Good Shepherd Center in Seattle Climate Justice League, Assemble!  is an  in-person offering on  February 15th from 9am-3pm at the Good Shepherd Center in Seattle  and will provide teachers opportunities to critically define climate justice education and improve their understanding of Anti-racist and Anti-colonial science teaching. Educators will be invited to participate in online communities of practice following the workshop. Dear Educators,  COVID-19 has impacted our communities, schools, and students in ways we have yet to fully comprehend. Accessing financial aid to re-skill for our future economy is critical for many Washingtonians and is possible through WSOS scholarship pathways.
